A parish is built by the people who carry it. This page holds in memory those who have gone before us — the fathers who guided this church into being, and the faithful whose labour, giving, and prayers made it what it is. We are where we are because of their sacrifice.
Abune Yesehaq – አቡነ ይስሃቅ
1933 – 2005
Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in the Western Hemisphere, and instrumental in the founding of our parish. When a small group of the faithful in Boston first carried the idea of a church of their own, it was Abune Yesehaq who advised and encouraged them. The congregation that gathers here today began with that encouragement.
